Rep. Harriet Hageman, who represents Wyoming’s at-large district in the U.S. Congress, recently shared updates on legislative efforts and personnel changes affecting wildlife management and federal agencies.
On August 4, 2025, Hageman posted that “ICYMI: Last month, the House Natural Resources Committee advanced my bill to return grizzly bear management in the Yellowstone ecosystem back to where it belongs, the states.” The tweet referenced her legislative push to transfer oversight of grizzly bears in the Yellowstone region from federal authorities to state governments.
A subsequent post made seconds later included only a link: “https://t.co/3rOXi6lEFg” (August 4, 2025), which may direct followers to further information about her bill or related committee activity.
Later that day, Hageman congratulated a new appointee at the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service by stating, “Congratulations to Brian Nesvik on being confirmed as @USFWS Director! https://t.co/5WNKP3NHU4” (August 4, 2025).
Harriet Hageman has served as Wyoming’s sole member of the U.S. House of Representatives since replacing Liz Cheney in 2023. Born in Fort Laramie in 1962 and currently residing in Cheyenne, she holds both a Bachelor of Science and Juris Doctor degree from the University of Wyoming (1989).
