Lummis backs Trump’s pick for Director of National Intelligence

U.S. Senator Cynthia Lummis from Wyoming has expressed her support for President Trump’s nominee for Director of National Intelligence, Tulsi Gabbard. Following a meeting with the former Representative, Lummis issued a statement endorsing Gabbard’s nomination.

“President Trump has made shoring up our national security his top priority, and we have a responsibility to get his nominations through the senate quickly so his administration is well-equipped to protect the American people,” stated Lummis. She further added, “I served with Tulsi in the House of Representatives, and I have no doubt she will play a pivotal role in restoring American global dominance.”

The nomination comes as part of President Trump’s efforts to strengthen national security measures during his administration.
