Today, Senator Cynthia Lummis from Wyoming recognized the National Day of Prayer while commending President Trump’s decision to form a new Religious Liberty Commission through an executive order. In her statement, Lummis emphasized the nation’s roots in prayer and the freedoms attributed to divine blessings.
Senator Lummis remarked, “This nation was built on the power of prayer, and the enduring blessings of freedom and liberty granted by our Creator.” She acknowledged the significance of Trump’s action aligning with the National Day of Prayer, reinforcing the commitment to safeguarding religious freedoms in the United States.
“It is deeply fitting that President Trump chose today, the National Day of Prayer, to sign an executive order establishing a Religious Liberty Commission to protect religious freedom for all Americans,” Lummis stated. She laid out a vision for a united future where religious expressions are free from discrimination, highlighting the need to address and eliminate antisemitism and anti-Christian bias.
Lummis concluded by sending her regards to her constituents, stating, “I wish all of Wyoming a meaningful National Day of Prayer.”
