Senator Cynthia Lummis has announced her support for the confirmation of Frank Bisignano as the new Commissioner of the Social Security Administration (SSA). Following a vote in the U.S. Senate, Lummis expressed satisfaction with Bisignano’s appointment by President Trump.

In her statement, Lummis highlighted her discussions with Bisignano regarding issues affecting Wyoming’s Social Security offices. “I’m pleased that the U.S. Senate has finally confirmed Frank Bisignano, President Trump’s choice to head the Social Security Administration,” said Lummis. She emphasized concerns about understaffing across all six SSA offices in Wyoming and noted the closure of the Cody office.

Lummis expressed optimism about collaborating with Commissioner Bisignano to address these challenges. “I look forward to working with Commissioner Bisignano on implementing the reforms that SSA badly needs, while ensuring that Wyoming’s SSA offices are accessible, properly staffed, and responsive to our residents’ needs,” she stated.
