Bedford Road Repaving to Begin Feb. 27
It’s time for another portion of Bedford Road to get repaved! Beginning the week of February 27, crews will start milling operations (taking off the top layer of the roadway) along Bedford Road from SH 183 to Central Drive.

For the 11th consecutive year, the Bedford Public Library received the Achievement of Library Excellence Award from the Texas Municipal Library Directors Association.

July Fourth City Closures
All City of Bedford offices, including City Hall, Municipal Court, Library, Animal Shelter, and Old Bedford School, will be closed Monday, July 4 in observance of July Fourth. Roy Savage Pool at Central Park will open noon to 5 p.m. (regular hours) for open swim.

Bedford Park Drop-Ins Happening all Summer
Spend your summer exploring Bedford parks! Every other Tuesday from 9 a.m. to noon, Bedford Parks and Recreation will venture over to a park for a morning of lawn games, family activities, sidewalk chalk, bubbles, and more! Memorial Day City Closures
All City of Bedford offices, including the Bedford Public Library, Municipal Court, and Senior Center, will be closed Monday, May 30 in observance of Memorial Day. Police, Fire, and Emergency Medical Services will remain in operation at all times.

Early Voting Begins April 25 in Upcoming General Election
Early voting begins Monday, April 25 for the City’s May 7 General Election and will continue through Tuesday, May 3. Registered Bedford voters can cast their ballot at any Tarrant County early voting location (including the Bedford Public Library, 2424 Forest Ridge Dr.) on the following dates and times:

Animal Shelter Temporarily Reduces Lobby Hours
Due to temporary staffing shortages, the Animal Shelter lobby will have reduced lobby hours of 1 to 6 p.m., Monday through Friday. The shelter will have the same lobby hours on Saturdays, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
