Today, the U.S. Senate passed the No Tax on Tips Act, a proposal initially put forward by former President Donald Trump. This legislation will ensure that tips are not taxed under federal income tax laws.

Senator Cynthia Lummis from Wyoming expressed her approval of the act’s passage, stating: “The Senate passage today of President Trump’s No Tax on Tips proposal is a victory for Wyoming’s blue-collar workers who will now keep every dollar they earn in tips. I support this common-sense tax relief that puts more money into the hands of Wyoming workers while upholding the conservative principle of rewarding hard work.”

The bill received bipartisan support and aims to provide financial relief to workers who rely heavily on tips as part of their income.
