U.S. Senator Cynthia Lummis has met with Frank Bisignano, who has been nominated by President Trump for the position of commissioner of the Social Security Administration (SSA). Following their meeting, Senator Lummis issued a statement highlighting the challenges faced by Wyoming’s six Social Security offices due to understaffing.
Lummis stated, “Understaffing across Wyoming’s six Social Security offices continue to be a major issue impacting service delivery to people across the Cowboy State.” She emphasized the need for reforms within the SSA to ensure that rural communities receive adequate support and to reduce waste and fraud within the agency.
Senator Lummis expressed confidence in Bisignano’s capabilities, saying, “I believe Frank Bisignano is well prepared to succeed in this role.”
