U.S. Senator Cynthia Lummis from Wyoming expressed her support for the recent budget resolution, which she believes is a step towards addressing several key issues. In a statement, Lummis criticized President Biden’s leadership, claiming it has led to increased financial burdens on families in Wyoming due to inflation and compromised national security.

“Under President Biden’s failed leadership, hardworking families across Wyoming shelled out more of their hard-earned money than ever to keep up with record-breaking inflation and watched as Biden’s policies jeopardized our national security,” said Lummis. “This budget resolution isn’t perfect, but it is a first step towards securing our southern border, making our military strong again, and unleashing American energy.”

Lummis emphasized the importance of providing resources to fulfill former President Trump’s promise of delivering peace through strength. She stated that the resolution will prioritize the needs of Wyoming families by making tax cuts permanent, reducing wasteful spending, and promoting economic growth.

Additionally, Senator Lummis introduced several amendments aimed at addressing her priorities. These amendments propose deficit-neutral reserve funds that would enable legislation on these matters through fiscal year 2034.
