Senator Lummis supports Miki Bowman’s Fed board nomination

U.S. Senator Cynthia Lummis has expressed her support for the nomination of Michelle “Miki” Bowman as Vice Chair of Supervision of the Federal Reserve Board. The nomination was made by President Trump.

Senator Lummis stated, “Miki Bowman’s nomination to serve as Vice Chair of Supervision of the Federal Reserve is a welcome shift toward restoring regulatory fairness, transparency and staff accountability at the Fed.” She emphasized Bowman’s understanding of regulation based on objective and sound policy rather than arbitrary or ideological priorities, which she believes will strengthen the financial future of the nation.

Lummis also highlighted Bowman’s recognition of the importance of state banks and responsible financial innovation. She congratulated Bowman on what she described as a well-deserved nomination.
