96 percent of applicants to the University of Wyoming were admitted for fall 2018

At the University of Wyoming, 82 percent of undergraduate students are traditional students - age 24 or younger - and 51 percent are female, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The four-year public institution in Laramie enrolled 12,450 students in fall 2018, including 9,998 in undergraduate and 2,452 in graduate programs, data shows. 10.8 percent of undergraduates transferred from another college or university.

47 percent of undergraduates are residents of Wyoming, and 51 percent are residents of other states. 1 percent are citizens of foreign countries.

The undergraduate student body is comprised mostly of students who identify as white (72 percent) and Hispanic or Latino (7 percent).

The school admitted 96 percent of the 5,293 students who applied for fall 2018. Of those who were admitted, 37 percent enrolled.
