About 14 percent of the 2,975 degrees and certificates handed out by the University of Wyoming in 2017-18 were to students in business, management, marketing, and related support services programs, making them the most popular programs that year, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The agency's National Center for Education Statistics shows the public institution in Laramie conferred 329 bachelor's degrees and 87 master's degrees in business, management, marketing, and related support services programs.

But the single most popular program was for a bachelor's degree in registered nursing/registered nurse. Data shows the school gave out 179 bachelor's degrees in registered nursing/registered nurse, followed by 120 bachelor's degrees in general psychology and 118 bachelor's degrees in elementary education and teaching.

The university enrolled 12,450 students for 2017-18, including 9,998 in undergraduate programs and 2,452 in graduate programs.
