The City of Bondurant would like to remind residents that the use of fireworks is limited to July 3rd from 2:00 to 10:00 p.m. and July 4th from 2:00 to 11:00 p.m.

No fireworks are to be set off within city limits at any other time.

If you would like to report illegal fireworks usage, please contact the Polk County Sheriff's Department at 515-286-3333.

Who is allowed to discharge fireworks?

Those discharging fireworks must be 18 years of age (or in the immediate presence of a parent or guardian with consent to supervise) and cannot show signs of being under the influence of drugs or alcohol.

Who's responsible for the firework debris?

The person discharging the fireworks is responsible for clearing the debris from the discharge.

Are there firework discharge location restrictions?

An individual cannot explode consumer fireworks within 600 feet of the property line of a property containing any structure which offers combustible material for sale; a medical clinic, hospital, child care facility, or senior living facility.
