U.S. Senator Cynthia Lummis has announced her support for Lee Zeldin's nomination as Administrator of the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). As a member of the Senate Environment and Public Works Committee, Lummis expressed confidence in Zeldin's ability to lead the agency.
"Lee Zeldin has my total and complete support to lead the EPA due to his commitment to cutting onerous regulations and unnecessary red tape that has destroyed industries throughout Wyoming and the west," said Lummis. She emphasized their shared history, stating, "Lee and I served together in the U.S. House, and I have been honored to call him a friend and colleague for many years. I cannot wait to work with him in his next role as EPA Administrator."
Lummis met with Zeldin earlier today to discuss her priorities for the EPA, which include addressing what she describes as attacks on western energy by the Biden administration. She also stressed Wyoming's significant contribution to national and global energy needs.
