U.S. Senator Cynthia Lummis of Wyoming has announced her decision to join the Delivering Outstanding Government Efficiency (DOGE) Caucus. The caucus, chaired by U.S. Senator Joni Ernst from Iowa, aims to address issues related to federal government spending and accountability of unelected officials.

Senator Lummis expressed her concerns about the current administration's approach, stating, "For four years, the people of Wyoming have watched as the Biden-Harris administration has enabled unelected bureaucrats to become untouchable and unaccountable to the people they serve, but on January 20, 2025, that will come to a screeching halt."

She emphasized the importance of reducing unnecessary expenditures and enhancing transparency within the federal government. "We have a responsibility to cut wasteful spending, restore transparency, eliminate fraud and abuse within the federal government and give power back to the American people," Lummis stated.

The DOGE Caucus is expected to focus on identifying inefficiencies in government operations. Senator Lummis looks forward to collaborating with her colleagues and President Trump in this endeavor. She remarked that "the DOGE Caucus will play an integral role in sniffing out government waste," highlighting her commitment to addressing these issues.
