FOIA Request to Wyoming State Board of Education Regarding Instructional Mandates for State K-12 Schools on December 10, 2024.
SE Wyoming News, a media organization committed to providing comprehensive and accurate news coverage on local governmental affairs, has submitted a request under the Wyoming Sunshine Law, §16-4-201 et seq. The request specifically asks for a list of all instructional mandates for state K-12 schools, including all required courses and/or general instruction.
As a media organization, we at SE Wyoming News are involved in gathering and reporting news to the public. Access to public records is essential for us to fulfill our professional responsibilities. These include holding public institutions accountable and providing transparency to the public. Given our role in disseminating information, we believe we are eligible for a fee waiver as media professionals.
