U.S. Senator Cynthia Lummis from Wyoming has expressed her support for President Trump's nominee for Director of National Intelligence, Tulsi Gabbard. Following a meeting with the former Representative, Lummis issued a statement endorsing Gabbard's nomination.
"President Trump has made shoring up our national security his top priority, and we have a responsibility to get his nominations through the senate quickly so his administration is well-equipped to protect the American people," stated Lummis. She further added, "I served with Tulsi in the House of Representatives, and I have no doubt she will play a pivotal role in restoring American global dominance."
The nomination comes as part of President Trump's efforts to strengthen national security measures during his administration.
