The University of Wyoming will present its proposed 2026-27 budgets to the Biennium Budget Committee of the UW Board of Trustees on May 11 and 12.

The hearings are an important step in preparing for action by the full Board of Trustees on the university’s budget for the fiscal year beginning July 1. These sessions provide an opportunity for various university units to outline their financial plans and priorities for the coming year.

The hearings will be held at the Marian H. Rochelle Gateway Center and are scheduled to run from approximately 8 a.m. until about 5 p.m. each day. The events will also be livestreamed at https://wyolinks.uwyo.edu/2026/TrusteesMay26/ so that members of the public can follow along remotely.

Vice President for Budget and Finance Alex Kean is set to begin Monday’s session with a consolidated budget overview at 8 a.m., followed by presentations from individual academic colleges, schools, divisions, and offices throughout both days. The full schedule of hearings will be made available online.

These budget hearings are designed to ensure transparency in how university funds are allocated and managed before final decisions are made by trustees.
