Kiley Reisner of Wyoming was named to the all-Mountain West women’s golf second team, according to a May 7 announcement from the conference.

Reisner, a freshman from Northridge, California, is the first Cowgirl to earn all-Mountain West honors since Jonelle Martinez during the 2008-09 season. This recognition highlights her strong debut season and marks an important achievement for the University of Wyoming’s women’s golf program.

Reisner finished second at the Mountain West Championships in Rancho Mirage, California. She led Wyoming to its best finish in a conference tournament. Only Leia Chung of Boise State and Reisner finished under par at the event. In program history, only Jordan Lintz (2000) and Martinez (2009) have placed higher than Reisner at this tournament. Lintz is also one of only three Cowgirls ever to receive all-conference honors.

This season, Reisner became the first University of Wyoming player since Kelly Meyers in 1989 to win two tournaments in a single year. The Cowgirls will make their first postseason appearance in program history at the National Golf Invitational from May 15-17 at Ak-Chin Southern Dunes Golf Club in Maricopa, Arizona.

Earlier this year, during the Cowgirl Classic hosted by Wyoming on that same course, Reisner tied for fourth place individually and set a new school record with a score of 207 over three rounds. Her spring included victories at both the Thunderbird Classic and Bobcat Desert Classic tournaments. She was also recognized as Mountain West freshman of the month for September and twice earned conference freshman of the week honors.

Recently, Reisner competed with partner Summer Schafer in Charleston, South Carolina at the USGA Women’s Amateur Four-Ball Championship where they advanced to the Round of 16. She will next compete with her sister Kira Reisner in a U.S. Women’s Open qualifier before joining her team for postseason play.
