Harriet Hageman, a current U.S. Congress representative for Wyoming’s at-large district, has recently shared her perspectives on various issues through a series of tweets. Hageman, who succeeded Liz Cheney in 2023, discussed topics ranging from local pharmacy challenges to Supreme Court decisions.
On June 17, 2025, Harriet Hageman expressed concerns regarding the impact of Pharmacy Benefit Managers (PBMs) on local pharmacies. After visiting Bill’s pharmacy in Cody, she remarked that “Our local pharmacies are being hit hard by PBMs.” While acknowledging that the OBBBA addresses some issues, she noted there is still more work needed to resolve these challenges.
In another tweet dated June 18, 2025, Hageman addressed misinformation surrounding new VA guidelines. She clarified that “The claims regarding new VA guidelines denying treatment to unmarried veterans are nothing but fake news.” She emphasized that all eligible veterans will continue receiving the care and services they deserve.
Later on June 18, 2025, Hageman commented on a Supreme Court decision concerning Tennessee’s ban on “gender-affirming care” for minors. She stated that “The Supreme Court’s decision to uphold Tennessee’s ban…is a victory for parental rights and child safety.” She described such procedures as child abuse and stressed the importance of protecting children from irreversible harm.
Harriet Hageman was born in Fort Laramie, Wyoming in 1962 and currently resides in Cheyenne. She graduated with both a BS and JD from the University of Wyoming in 1989.
