U.S. Senator Cynthia Lummis from Wyoming has teamed up with Senator Bill Cassidy of Louisiana to introduce the Educational Choice for Children Act. This bipartisan bill aims to expand educational freedom and opportunities for students by providing a charitable donation incentive. The initiative encourages individuals and businesses to contribute to scholarships that cover K-12 public and private education expenses.
During National School Choice Week, Senator Lummis expressed her support for the legislation, stating: "This National School Choice Week, I am reaffirming my commitment to educational freedom and equal opportunity for all American children." She emphasized the importance of ensuring that a child's quality of education is not determined by their zip code. "I am proud to cosponsor this legislation ensuring Wyoming’s future leaders, regardless of their educational needs, are set up for success," Lummis added.
