“I am thrilled that President Trump is reversing the failed energy policies of the Biden administration and officially lifting this ridiculous moratorium on federal coal leasing,” stated Lummis. She attributed the previous administration's policies to a loss of jobs and higher energy costs, positing they benefited foreign adversaries. Lummis emphasized Wyoming's readiness, as a major coal producer, to assist in advancing American energy.
The executive order, titled "Executive Actions to Support the Coal Industry," aims to boost domestic coal production.
